Palazzo Farnese is open to guided tours only. Languages available: English, Italian and French.
The Basements are included in the guided tour on Thursdays at 5 p.m. (only in Italian or French).
Tickets go on sale up to 90 days from the current date.
Tickets can be purchased through this website only, with credit card or via PayPal.
Tickets can be purchased up to five days before the desired entry date and time, upon availability.
You can purchase no more than 8 tickets per transaction.
Tickets are nominative, non-refundable and non-transferable.
When purchasing your tickets you are required to provide the following information: name, surname, date and place of birth, email address, telephone number, ID or passport number (driver’s licence not allowed)
Once you have completed your purchase, you will be sent a confirmation email which does not have to be shown at the entrance to Palazzo Farnese but which we strongly advise you to print or save as a pdf file and keep, as it contains all the information about your booking.
Groups: how to visit Farnese Palace
Groups of at least 15 persons can book their tickets through the Reservations Office by sending an e-mail at prenotazioni@artwonders.it and following this procedure:
(1) visit website www.visite-palazzofarnese.it, click on “Tickets” and check if tickets still available on the requested date and time are enough for you group;
(2) if so, send an email stating the number of persons and the required date and time;
(3) our Reservations Office will get in touch with you providing instructions for the payment and, once the payment is received, will book you tickets.
Reservation fee: € 2,00 per person. Schools groups are exempted from the Reservation fee.
Please note that guided tours can be conducted exclusively by tour guides authorized by the Embassy.
In order to enter Palazzo Farnese, visitors will be required to be at the main entrance of the Palace 30 minutes before the chosen entry time (2.30 pm for the 3 o’ clock tour, 3.30 pm for the 4 o’ clock tour, 4.30 pm for the 5 o’ clock tour) and show the same ID Document provided on the registration form (original ID document required, photocopies and screenshots are not accepted).
There is no cloackroom available at Palazzo Farnese, hence trolleys and backpacks – even small ones – are not allowed inside the Palace; only handbags and purses are allowed.
The Embassy declines all responsibility in case of theft of personal items left unattended.
Photographs are not allowed inside Palazzo Farnese. During the guided tour, mobile phones must be silenced and cannot be used to make or receive calls.
Groups can include up to a maximum of 33 people (guided tours on Thursdays and Fridays at 5 pm: maximum of 25 people).
Palazzo Farnese is accessible to visitors with limited mobility, with the exception of the Ecole française de Rome and the Basements.
The Basement is open to visitors aged 13 years and above.
Palazzo Farnese is a diplomatic building, security checks are reinforced and security guards have the right not to admit anyone who refuses to comply.
